Shrimp & Broccoli Stir-Fry (Garlic Teriyaki Style)

Ingredients

  • 450g (1 lb) shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)

  • Sesame seeds & chopped green onions for topping


Instructions

  1. Blanch the broccoli in hot water for 1 minute, then drain and set aside.

  2. Heat olive oil in a pan. Add shrimp and cook until pink on both sides (about 2–3 minutes). Remove shrimp.

  3. In the same pan, add garlic + ginger, sauté until fragrant.

  4. Add soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil and bring to a simmer.

  5. Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.

  6. Add back the shrimp and broccoli, toss well to coat everything in the glossy sauce.

  7. Top with sesame seeds and green onions, then serve hot with rice or noodles.
