How to make a simple restaurant
Ripe bananas are a nutritious food that is good for health. The characteristic of bananas is that when ripe, they ripen very quickly. Although the refrigerator was created to preserve many foods, if you put bananas in the refrigerator, you will regret it because when you take them out, the skin will be black and you will not want to eat them.
Many people want to preserve bananas for a long time but do not know how. Do it as follows:
How to preserve bananas for 7 days, making bananas take longer to ripen
When ripe, bananas produce a gas called ethylene gas. This gas makes the fruit ripen faster. Therefore, to slow down the ripening of bananas, you should find a way to limit the use of this gas.
According to a video shared by the Youtube channel - Daily Basis Hacks, if you want to keep bananas fresh and edible for 7 days, do the following:
- First, divide the bananas, keeping the peel and stem intact.
– Next, use plastic wrap to tightly wrap the stem of the banana, then store the banana in a cool place, it can be preserved for 1 week.
Using plastic wrap to tightly wrap the top of the banana prevents ethylene gas from escaping, so the banana can be kept longer, less rotten, less prone to age spots.
In addition, many people also share their experience that before storing bananas, you can dip them in alkaline water. Alkaline water can be used from an alkaline water generator, you adjust the alkalinity above 10 or buy alkaline water mixing powder. Alkalinity helps prevent bacteria and keeps the fruit from ripening longer, fresher longer. Or you can wash the banana with baking soda water and then use a paper towel to absorb the water. Baking soda also helps kill bacteria to preserve fresh food longer.
In addition, when storing bananas when not in the refrigerator, you should keep them in a cool place, away from moisture. You can use green, dry banana leaves to wrap around the bananas to help keep them fresh longer.
Preserving bananas for 6 months in the freezer:
- First, peel the bananas, cut them diagonally into small slices.
- Put all the banana slices in a zip bag, label them with the date, then freeze them. Note, only preserve the banana pulp, do not freeze the banana peel because it is very difficult to peel the banana peel later. You need to pay attention to the zip bag tightly so that the banana does not lose water during storage so that the banana pieces remain fresh and do not dry out.
The bananas have been frozen, after thawing, they can be eaten directly, slightly cold like banana ice cream, or can be used to make cakes, banana ice cream.
