She was upset seeing what was inside...
The Story of a Woman’s Hardship and Perseverance
A recent post on Chinese social media shared the life story of a woman who faced many struggles, which caught the attention of many readers.
Li Feng, a hardworking girl from a rural background, took care of her younger siblings while her parents were busy with work. She cooked for the family and helped her siblings with homework before doing her own. Despite her humble background, many villagers were interested in marrying her, and she eventually married into the Du family. However, her in-laws treated her poorly, and she had to manage childbirth, work, and raising a child alone while dealing with her irresponsible husband.
Li Feng, disappointed by her unfulfilled dream of a comfortable life with a wealthy man, decided to divorce. In a rural setting, divorced women face stigma, so she moved to the city to rebuild her life. Raising her daughter alone was tough, but it motivated her to succeed. After a few years, she started an environmental cleaning business and her daughter grew up and worked in a foreign company.
However, Li Feng's business went bankrupt due to the financial crisis, and she became ill. With her bank account frozen, she asked her daughter for help. At her daughter’s house, her son-in-law mocked her, and her daughter hesitated to respond. Yet, when Li Feng returned home, she discovered a bank card with 200,000 in it from her daughter.
Li Feng realized that despite her daughter’s marriage into a wealthy family, she might have been enduring hardships. When her son-in-law learned of Li Feng’s illness, he still bought a car, only to be shocked later by the truth.
