Ingredients

For the Pudding Layer

  • 500 ml (2 cups) milk

  • 1 box (100 g / 3.5 oz) vanilla pudding mix
    (or homemade vanilla custard if preferred)

For the Cream Layer

  • 250 ml (1 cup) heavy whipping cream, cold

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

For Assembly

  • 3–4 ripe bananas, sliced

  • 150 g (5 oz) vanilla wafers or sponge cookies

  • Extra vanilla wafers (for topping)


Instructions

1. Prepare the Pudding

In a bowl, whisk milk and vanilla pudding mix until smooth and thickened.
Refrigerate for 5–10 minutes to help it set slightly.


2. Whip the Cream

In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft to medium peaks form.
Set aside.


3. Layer the Dessert

In a glass dish or baking container:

  1. Spread a thin layer of pudding on the bottom

  2. Add a layer of vanilla wafers

  3. Top with banana slices

  4. Add a layer of whipped cream

  5. Repeat layers until ingredients are used

Finish with whipped cream on top.


4. Decorate

Top with banana slices and whole or crushed vanilla wafers.
Optional: drizzle lightly with condensed milk for extra richness.


5. Chill

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, for best flavor and texture.


6. Serve

Scoop and serve chilled.
The cookies will soften into a cake-like texture.
