These juicy grilled chicken skewers are marinated in a smoky, slightly spicy seasoning, then grilled until charred and tender. They’re served with a cool, creamy herb yogurt sauce that balances the heat perfectly.


🍢 Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

For the chicken skewers

  • 700 g chicken breast or thighs, cut into large cubes

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce

  • 1½ tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • ½ tsp ground cumin

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks

  • Wooden skewers (soaked in water 20 minutes)


For the herb yogurt sauce

  • 200 g plain Greek yogurt

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 clove garlic, finely grated

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, finely chopped

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Optional garnish

  • Fresh cilantro or parsley

  • Sliced jalapeños

Spicy Grilled Chicken Kabobs

1. Marinate the chicken

  • In a large bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, paprika, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Add chicken pieces and toss to coat evenly.

  • Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 8 hours for best flavor).


2. Prepare the yogurt sauce

  • In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper.

  • Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.


3. Assemble the skewers

  • Thread chicken pieces onto skewers, alternating with bell pepper chunks.


4. Grill the skewers

  • Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

  • Lightly oil the grates.

  • Grill skewers for 10–12 minutes, turning every 2–3 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and nicely charred.


5. Serve

  • Transfer skewers to a plate.

  • Garnish with fresh herbs and sliced jalapeños.

  • Serve hot with the yogurt sauce on the side.
