Beef, Broccoli & Mushroom Rice Bowl
This comforting rice bowl features tender marinated beef, crisp broccoli, and juicy mushrooms stir-fried in a light savory sauce, then mixed with fluffy rice. Balanced, nutritious, and perfect for an everyday meal.

200 g beef (sirloin or flank), thinly sliced

2 cups cooked rice (short-grain or jasmine)

1½ cups broccoli florets

1 cup mushrooms (button or shiitake), sliced

2 tablespoons cooking oil
Beef Marinade

1 tablespoon soy sauce
-
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
-
1 teaspoon cornstarch
-
½ teaspoon sugar
-
½ teaspoon sesame oil
-
Pinch of black pepper
Stir-Fry Sauce
-
1 tablespoon soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
-
2 tablespoons water or stock
-
½ teaspoon sugar
Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Beef

Place sliced beef in a bowl.

Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper.

Mix well and let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare the Vegetables

Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 1–2 minutes until bright green.

Drain and set aside.

Slice mushrooms evenly.
Step 3: Cook the Beef

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan or wok over medium-high heat.

Add marinated beef in a single layer.

Stir-fry quickly for 1–2 minutes until just cooked.

Remove beef from the pan and set aside.
Step 4: Stir-Fry Vegetables

Add remaining oil to the pan.

Add mushrooms and stir-fry until lightly browned.

Add broccoli and toss well.
Step 5: Combine

Return beef to the pan.

Add stir-fry sauce.

Toss everything together for 1–2 minutes until coated and glossy.
Step 6: Serve

Serve hot over rice or gently mix rice into the pan like in the image.

Optional garnish: sesame seeds or sliced green onions.

Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.

Keep cooking time short to avoid tough beef.
