This dish features juicy grilled beef steak, sliced and topped with a fresh, herby chimichurri sauce, served alongside crispy garlic fries and roasted asparagus. It’s a hearty, restaurant-style meal with bold flavors and a perfect balance of richness and freshness.
Ingredients (Serves 2)
For the Steak

2 beef steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or strip steak, 250–300 g each)

1 tablespoon olive oil
-
Salt, to taste

Freshly ground black pepper
For the Chimichurri Sauce
-
1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
-
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
-
3 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 small red chili or red pepper flakes (to taste)

Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Garlic Fries
-
3 large potatoes, cut into fries
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
For the Asparagus
-
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
Salt and black pepper
Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fries
-
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
-
Toss potato fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
-
Spread in a single layer on a baking tray.
-
Bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
-
In the last 5 minutes, sprinkle with minced garlic.
-
Remove from oven and toss with chopped parsley.
Step 2: Roast the Asparagus

Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Roast in the oven (or grill pan) for 10–12 minutes until tender and slightly charred.

Set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Steak

Pat steaks dry and season generously with salt and pepper.

Heat a grill pan or skillet over high heat until very hot.

Add olive oil and sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust for doneness).

Remove steaks from heat and rest for 5 minutes.

Slice against the grain.
Step 4: Make the Chimichurri

In a bowl, combine parsley, garlic, chili, salt, and pepper.

Stir in red wine vinegar and olive oil.
-
Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste.
Serving

Arrange sliced steak on plates.

Spoon chimichurri generously over the steak.
-
Serve with garlic fries and roasted asparagus on the side.

Enjoy immediately while hot.
